So that you can enjoy your BEAVER glove for a long time, we have a few tips for you at the start. Leather is a natural product and can be cared for so that it lasts longer. The more it is used and the finer it is, the more susceptible it is to wear. The BEAVER places special emphasis on sustainability and avoids harmful ingredients. In addition, it uses recycled or recyclable materials wherever possible (eg packaging).
If your glove gets wet, instead of hanging it on your golf bag, you can alternatively use a glove stretcher to dry it. In general, you should always dry a wet glove in the shade and never in direct sunlight, because this makes leather brittle relatively quickly. If you want to care for your glove, you can apply a hazelnut-sized bit of moisturizer (important: without oil!) to it, as if you were putting lotion on your hands. This will take extra care of the leather.
A quickly worn glove (at the ball of the hand or at the thumb) has not necessarily something to do with the leather quality. Often it has to do with the fact that the leather has become brittle. Leather is a natural product and can of course always have a flaw. In most cases, however, it can help to check your own grip once. Here you should make sure that you do not grip the club too far back, because this increases the wear on the ball of the hand enormously. A very tight grip (as is usually the case with golf beginners) can also lead to increased wear. Your GolfPro can help you with this.
On average, a player of medium HCP and average golf game needs about 3 gloves per year. That is why we have introduced our SeasonPack.
A leather glove should not be played in the rain. Not least because tanned colors are then released again. If you sweat a lot, it makes sense to have 2-3 gloves in your bag and change them several times during the round. That way you always have a dry glove. Every skin is different and nothing is more aggressive than sweat.
Here again the facts summarized:
Always dry in the shade
Do not play in the rain
Check grip (far back or too tight)
Use glove tightener
Heavy sweating → best to take and change 3 gloves per round
Maintain with moisturizer without oil
So you have a lot of fun and a long lasting golf glove! Have a nice game...
